Commitment
Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 1, 2026
Think Interior Design Academy is committed to ensuring that our website and course materials are accessible to everyone — including people with disabilities. We believe that great design education should be available to all aspiring designers, regardless of how they access the web.
Our Commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments. We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our platform and course content.
What We're Doing
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility across our platform:
- Keyboard Navigation: All key site functions are operable via keyboard without requiring a mouse.
- Screen Reader Support: Our pages use semantic HTML and ARIA labels to ensure compatibility with popular screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
- Text Alternatives: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked appropriately so screen readers skip them.
- Color Contrast: We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios throughout the site to support users with low vision or color blindness.
- Resizable Text: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Video Captions: Course videos include closed captions. We are working to add transcripts to all video content.
- Focus Indicators: Interactive elements display clear visual focus indicators for keyboard users.
- Consistent Navigation: Navigation menus are consistent across pages, making the site easier to learn and use.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some older course materials and third-party embedded tools may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. We are actively reviewing and updating this content. If you encounter an accessibility barrier in any part of our platform, please let us know so we can prioritize a fix.
Assistive Technologies We Support
Our platform is tested and supported with the following assistive technologies:
- NVDA with Firefox (Windows)
- JAWS with Chrome (Windows)
- VoiceOver with Safari (macOS and iOS)
- TalkBack with Chrome (Android)
Requesting Accommodations
If you require a specific accommodation to access our course content — such as an alternative format for materials, additional time on assessments, or audio descriptions for visual content — please contact us. We will do our best to provide a suitable accommodation in a timely manner.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We conduct periodic audits of our site and course platform, train our team on accessible content creation, and incorporate accessibility requirements into the development of all new features. We are committed to making meaningful and continuous progress.
Feedback & Contact
We welcome your feedback on accessibility. If you experience any barriers while using our site or have suggestions for improvement, please reach out — your input helps us build a more inclusive learning environment.
